One of the most anticipated films of 2016 is Half Girlfriend. After the humongous success of the adaptation of Chetan Bhagat novel 2 States, Half Girlfriend will be adapted by Mohit Suri. Half Girlfriend is one the most talked about novels by Chetan Bhagat, owing to the obscene and disrespectful approach by the lead character towards the female lead. But all in all, was found to be an entertaining and romantic love story for the readers.
The movie is going to star Sharddha Kapoor as the leading lady, playing the character of Riya Somani, a Delhi girl. Earlier Sushant Singh Rajput was roped in as the male lead, but recently Arjun Kapoor stepped in to play the character of Madhav, a guy from Bihar.
The movie based on the best selling novel now has a release date. Trade analyst Komal Nahta took on to Twitter to divulge the release date of the film, i.e. 7th October 2016.
